ÆRIAL NAVIGATION.
GREAT (BRITAIN GETS BUSY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received 14, 5.5 p.m. London, April 13. The War Office, in a memorandum, states that the war in Tripoli has proved the value of aeroplanes in actual warfare. The Government is impressed with the condition of aviation in Great Britain, compared with the, progress of other nations, and proposes to establish a Royal Plying Corps, in addition to an aviation school on Salisbury Plain. It hopes that a considerable proportion of civilian aviators will join the reserve and serve, in any part.
.FLYERS FOR THE ARMY AND NAVY. London, April IS. Three hundred and sixty-four flyers are wanted for the army, and 40 for the navy. Only 60 are training at present. The Government proposes that an Air Committee should be created as an adjunct committee of the Imperial Defence Department. GERMAN ORDERS. Received 14, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, April 18. The Admiralty is negotiating with the Zeppelin Company to deliver four or five of the most powerful Zeppelin airships within three years, for navy purposes.
