HINDERING EX PORTERS. By Cable—Press As.so,i ition—Copyright JJelin, April 11. There is a growing movement for enquiry into the effects of protective tariffs. Dr. Gothein, a member of the Reichstag, in an article in the Tageblatt, predicts that an impartial enquiry will disclose the need of an entirely new policy. He declares that the new commercial treaties have hindered, rather than helped, exporters.
