A meeting of the borough council ended dramatically last evenings At a previous meeting, when two avowed opponents of the motion were unavoidably absent, the council decided by a majority of one that the borough engineer's explanation of the charge made against him was not satisfactory. Notice was given by a councillor that he would move at next meeting that the resolution be rescinded, the matter came up this evening, when the Jjiayor refused to accept the motion. Five councillors thereupon left the table as a protest, and there not being a quorum, the mayor had to adjourn the meeting.
