In distributing prizes won at the rifle meeting on Monday night, the Governor , made an important statement, showing I the view that Imperial officials held durI ing the crisis. He said that last ScpI tember he had communicated with his provincial officers, urging preparation for grave contingencies. His audience would know that he referred to the situation created in Morocco and the resultant probability of war. He exhorted the riflemen, to take their duties seriously.
