AMERICAN RAILWAYS

STATE CONTROL. By Cable —Pre«a Association—Copyright. Received 3, 12.30 a.m. Washington, April 2. The State governors, acting in concert, have appealed to the Federal Supreme Court against the decision of the Minnesota Federal Court, virtually transferring the State's control of railway rates to an inter-State Commission. The Supreme Court decided that the inter-State Commission was empowered to compel water lines to report the business done within the States equally with business between them, reversing the decision of the Commerce Court.
