NEW PLYMOUTH. Mails will close (subject to alterations) at the Chief Post Office, New Plymouth— For Auckland and North, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 7 p.m.; and daily, per mail train, at 6.15 a.m. For Wellington and South, 6.15 a.m. and -12.20 p.m. daily. For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, <1.16 a.m., 12.20 p.m. and 3.55 p.m. WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3. Mails for Australian ports (via Sydney), Ceylon, Indian, China, Japan and Straits Settlements, also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, at 6.15 а.m., per s,s. Ulimaroa, from Wellington). The following hours will be observed by the Post and Telegraph Department on Good Friday, April 5, and Easter Monday, April 8: GOOD FRIDAY. Good Friday will be observed aa a Sunday. The Post Office will be closed in all branches. The Telegraph Office will observe Sunday hours, vii., 9.30 to 10 a.m. and 5 to б.30 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will continue open as usual. In the private box lobby Sunday hours will be observed. All mails will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4. The Railway Post Office will run as usual. A delivery of town letters will be made over the Post Office counter on Thursday evening, from Bto 9 o'clock. ' EASTER MONDAY. The Post Office will be open in all branches (except Money Order and Savings Bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. only. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight. The Telephone Exchange will continue open as usual. The private box lobby will observe usual hours. The Railway Post Office will run as usual.
