A RAROTONGAN MURDER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. At Rarotonga on March 4, Noovngo. a native of Mangau, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment for manslaughter, arising out of charges of having murdered his wife on December 3. The jury expressed the opinion that the case was the outcome of bush beer drinking, and asked the authorities to take strong measures for the prevention of the brewing and drinking of this beverage and the resulting drunkenness.
