Five.: of them will return to England, including Francis. The latter had the best re* cord of the tour, scoring 0 tries and kicking 49 goals. , TARANAKI RUGBY UNION. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Taranakl Rugby Union was held at Stratford last night, when there were present: Mr. F. T. Bellringer (President) in the chair, and the following delegates: Messrs D. J. Malone and R. Masters (Stratford), H. W. James (Inglewood), J. McLeod, and H. J. Mynott (Tukapa). Hawkins (Star), W. D. Webster (Rovers), Jaa. Garcia (Okato), Skipper (Fitzroy), J. Glenn (Waimate), Thos. Buchanan (Clifton), Rev, J. B. Scott (Kaponga), J. Crowley and A. Lees (Okaiawa), G. K'"g and Connell (Opunake), G. Griffiths (Referees' Association), and P. Skoglund (secretary). _ 6 A special general' meeting was held prior, to the general meeting, when, a notice of motion, proposed by the Clifton Club and seconded by the Stratford Club, was carried, that by-law No. 5 be altered by t» ; deletion of the word Western and the substitution of Saturday. - The report, as already published, was adopted. In seconding the motion for its adoption. Mr. Buchanan, chairman, said that there had been some comment on the extended tour that was undertaken last year. He was, however convinced: that it was for the benefit of football, and. as a result they would have visits from six teairis this season. The representative team last year was the most successful for manv years. The iradqunrters of the Union were fixed at Stratford. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. F. T. This would give them an opportunity of discussing matters while they were fresh.
