SWIMMING.

'SCHOOL SPORTS. Fully 200 people were present at the baths yesterday on the 'occasion of the' annual swimming sports of the High School and Central and West End Schools. The race were keenly contested, and the gathering reflected credit on its organisers. Messrs Wiittaker and C. Brown acted as starters, and had other enthusiasts rolled up in sufficient numbers the difficulty experienced in getting the services of sufficient officials would have been avoided. Those who arranged the sports wish in particular to thank all those who responded so liberally in the matter of trophies. Results':— Girls (9 years), one length.—K. Russell 1, D. Morris 2.
