FATAL STRIKE FIGHTS. Received 26. 12.40 a.m. Paris. March 25. In a fight between taxi-cab strikers and workers twelve were seriously wounded, and one has died. ABOLITION OF THE AFTERNOON SHIFT. THE EXPERIMENT TO BE TRIED. Received 25, 9.30 p.m. Sydney, March 25. A new development has occurred in the situation at Newcastle by the Caledonian Company agreeing to abolish the afternoon shift at the Aberdare and 'Aberdare Extended mines from Saturday next.
