ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
THE RIDING FATALITY. By Telegraphs-Press Association. Napier, Wednesday. The victim of the riding accident reported yesterday was the seven-year-old daughter of James Carswell, owner of Loch Inver station, who was fatally kicked by a horse. Whilst riding the animal she slipped off and was dragged, receiving the fatal-injuries as stated. AN OLD MAX'S DEATH. Dunedin, Last Night. A farmer named Alex. Robertson, who sustained a fracture of the leg when leading a horse at circle hill, Milburn, last week, and who was brought to the Dunedin hospital, died at 'the institution this morning. Death was due to heart failure, the result of the accident. Deceased was 73 years of age. A CHILD DROWNED. Nelson, Last Night. The eighteen months' old, child of J. Boddinglton, of Wakapuaka, was drowned at the pa there this morning. He was playing with another child near the v creek and crawled through a gate, fallinto the water.
