SURETIES FOR GOOD BEHAVIOUR. A COUNTER DEMONSTRATION. By Cable—Press Association— Copyrigkt. London, March 17. The majority of the suffragettes who were sent to gaol for declining to find sureties for their good behaviour until their trial have been released, sureties having now been tendered. Hundreds of / apprentice engineers at Glasgow smashed the windows of the Women's Social and Political Union. A thousand suffragettes belonging to Church and Nonconformist Leagues marched to Westminster singing hymns, some attending evensong in the Abbey and others a meeting in Trafalgar Square.
