AN OFFICER MOBBED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Saturday. Disturbances of a more or less serious nature have been frequent at the evening drills of. the Territorials of late, the ca,use being alleged roughness oil the part of non-coms. Last night the assistance of the police was invoked. It is stated that a lieutenant struck one of the 'lads with a cane after drill, and that the lad's comrades mobbed the officer and hunted him round the barracks. He eventually escaped to the police yard, where he changed his clothes.
