A deputation . from the High School Board waited on Sir Robert Stout, Chancellor of the New Zealand University, requesting that the marks obtainable for history he raised with a view to encouraging the study of that subject. Sir Robert Stout said he thought that in a democratic country such as this the study of history should be encouraged, and promised to represent the matter to the Senate.
