The Methodist Conference report showed little progress in the movement towards the union of the churches during the year, due to the fact that statements of doctrine and policy are still being considered by the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches. CRUSADE AGAINST IMMORAL LITERATURE. Melbourne, March 15. _ An influential Congress, the Chief Justice presiding, has initiated a crusade against immoral literature.
