OPOSSUMS AND PARADISE DUCKS TOO NUMEROUS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The South Canterbury Acclimatisation Society desire leave to kill opossums (limited number by license) in one or two bush localities,, where they are mischievous in gardens, and also paradise ducks, which are said to be too numerous in thp Mackenzie country, MOTOR RELIABILITY TRIAL. Christchureh, Last Night. The Canterbury Automobile Association's annual reliability trial for touring ears starts to-morrow morning. The route is from Christchureh to Hammer, via Oxford, returning on Saturday via Cheviot. Twenty-eight cars will' compete.
