TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTE

MONTHLY MEETING. The first meeting of the newly-appoint-ed Advisory Committee was held in the Technical College last night, when there were present: Messrs. iC. Billings, P. J. Jackson, E. Doekrill, P. P. Corkill, and Morrison. Messrs. Ballantyne (director) P. J. Heatley (organiser), and Sullivan (secretary) were also present. Mr. F. P. Corkill was elected chairman and Mr. Sullivan was re-elected secretary. The monthly meetings will be held on the first Monday in each month, four to form a quorum. Sub-committees will be appointed at a future meeting. Three members were appointed a/visiting committee each month, the names to be taken in alphabetical order, Messrs. Blanchard, Billings, and Corkill acting for this month. ' The reports of the superintendent and organiser were adopted. It was decided that classes for Spanish be commenced at once, and Mr. Ballantyne promised to lay before the next meeting of the board'the matter of supplying equipment. Mr. Ballantyne reported that a lathe was being constructed in the wood-work-room, and that the Borough Council was to supply the electrical current for working it.
