INGLEWOOD NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The annual general meeting of the Inglewood Operatic and Dramatic Society was held in the Druids' Hall on Wednesday, Mr. J. H. Rowe being in the chair. The balance-sheet was most satisfactory, and the Society begin the season with a substantial credit-balance. The work for this year has not yet been decided upon, but a sub-committee was set up to fix upon an opera. A number of ladies and gentlemen were nominated for membership. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. H. Rowe; lion.. secretary, Mr. Stanley; hon. treasurer, Mr. L. Sutherland; conductor, Mr. H. H. Cottier; pianist, Mr. J. Sutherland; general committee, Mrs. Mcßeth and Messrs. Thomson, W. H. Taylor and Geddes. The Society will begin active rehearsals after the Easter holidays, as the members are all anxious to get into again.
