At Douglas, on the same dav, for my monthly sale and weaner fair I had a lf7J and a g (,od attendance of buyers. Store and forward cows were easier, but 18-months and "2-year heifers were in de- ! mand at better values. Six fine pens of j 180 fresh-condition 3%-year bullocks j were yarded on account of the Nuktiha- : kere station. These cattle, notwithstanding their very long drive, were very cleah in coat and elicited very spirited competition, each lot being cleared at the "hammer at the following rates:— Two pens £6 19s fid, two pens £6 lis, two pens £6 8s 6d, one pen £6 Bs. MATTHEWS AND BENNETT'S REPORT. Matthews and Bennett report that there was a good yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday lkst.' Prices were as follows: —Steers, £4 Is to £4 13s 6d; fat cows, £4 18s, bulls, £3 4 o £4 2s; store cows, £2 5s to £3 I9s; weaners, IBs to 26s 6d; lambs, cull 3a to 3s '3d, good 8s 6d; ewes 9s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as fol-lows:-—A good entrl came forward of both .prime sheep and bullocks, which realised well up to late prices.
