t ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP A STORE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Aria correspondent of the Herald telegraphed late to-night that an attempt to destroy the mail coach there by fire had failed. Kerosene was sprinkled on boxes of butter in the coach, but the flames were extinguished with buckets of water. An attempt was also made to blow up the local store, owned by the coach proprietor, but this also failed. Details are meagre, but detectives are investigating.
