WOMAN INJURED BY TEAM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Welington, Last Night. A woman, so far unidentified, wa» knocked down by a tramcar in Featherston street to-night. She had her leg broken and her head badly cut, and was taken to the hospital. TWO JOCKEYS INJURED. Auckland, Last Night. At the Te Aroha races to-day, Cuckoo slipped and fell, bringing down Master Lane. The former's jockey (Mc'Flynn) sustained serious injury to his back, and Master Lane's rider (Sceats) had both collarbones broken. MINER FATALLY CRUSHED. Auckland, Last Night. A fatal accident occurred in the Taupiri Extended Coal Company's mine today. Some trucks broke away on the incline, and a, trucker named G. Bain was jambed between them and the full skip, which he was attending to. He received terrible injuries, and died almost at once. Deceased came from Aberdeen, Scotland.
