SPIRITUAL CAMPAIGN ORGANISED. By.Telegraph— Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. An organised spiritual campaisn has been formulated for next 1 year by the Methodist Church in New Zealand to celebrate the entrance of the church upon its independence from Australia and the consummation of Methodist union in the Dominion. The conference to-day confirmed arrangements for the by Rev. Vallance Cook and Mrs. Cook, and proposals for missions by two suitable missioners from Australia supplemented by a scheme for holding missions in every circuit and home mission station. fIORMN MISSIONS. Auckland, Last Night. At the Methodist Conference, it was resolved to set up a "Welfare of the Church Committee" to collect information as to the spiritual state of th« church, the difficulties with which it is confronted at the present day and the most effective modes of meeting them. The report of the Foreign Missions stated that work had steadily progressed during the year. The financial returns showed another record, the amount raised being £3203, an increase of £350 on the previous year.
