THE BASIS OF UNION.' By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. The Methodist Conference decided- to • establish home mission stations at Runanga (Nelson), Gonville (Wanganui), Wellington South, and Gisborne. An extea minister was appointed for Christchurch North, to reside at New Brigh- ' ton. In.the afternoon the subject of union with the Primitive Methodist Church was dealt with. The basis of union formulated by the joint committee in June 1 • last was unanimously agreed to. Provision was made for minor alterations, if approved by the union committee* of both churches. A strong committee was appointed to represent the church' ■ in dealing with such matters. The next conference will be held in Wellington.
