, BOY OF 1C TAKES POISON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A pathetic case of suicide occurred at Parnell to-day, when a sixteen-year-old lad, named George Davies, took prussic acid, and was found dead in the shop of his employer. Deceased left a letter to his mother, saying that he was a rank failure, and was always doing things wrong. The letter concluded, "So good-bye, and as I said before, don't fret. I am better where I am."

Deceased was looked upwi as a very promising boy.
