Two horses attached to. a "tj& belonging to the New Zealand ExprS Company bolted towards High streets a gallop. As soon ae horses came close to the last texjiriajj they tried to go on each side of it. ,31$ result was that one of the -hordes along the right side of the cab, but the other one dashed into the back of if with its head and shoulders, and the back of the*cab was splintered, the being twisted in all directions. The force of the impact thrust the cab forward) and it collided violently with a cab ty front, and in that way three of the cabi were telescoped. The first and secona were somewhat severely damaged, ' tiro third to a lesser degree, and a fourth if! its rear lamps, crumpled up. The driver in the first cab had a verjr narrow escape from being badly A passerby, who saw the horses coming: cried out to him, and he just had tjintf to jump out of his cab before the collision took place.
