A POSTPONEMENT WANTED. THE DOCTORS' ULTIMATUM. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, February 22. Nine hundred firms have joined Mr. Macara's Employers' Parliamentary Association to secure a postponement and amendment of the Insurance Act. A conference of the British Medical Association decided to negotiate with the Insurance Commissioners, but not to accept service under the Insurance Act unless the capitation fee is fixed at Ss Co.. exclusive of extras and medicines. No patients earning above 40s weekly will be treated. ATTITUDE OF THE MEDICOS. Received 23, 9.40 p.m. London, February 23. The Medical Association resolved to secure representation on various administrative bodies in connection with the irsurance Bill, and dropped the motion of censure on the Medical Council, which favored the medical faculty co-operating v,;th the Government in the administration of the Act.
