A DESPERATE FIGHT.
PRISONERS v. GUARDS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Mexico City, February 20. A desperate battle occurred at Puebla. Armed guards fought the prisoners who attempted to escape. Twenty-seven persons were killed. A fierce battle occurred within the gaol, twenty prisoners being killed.
The Mexican Government has agreed to pay three million dollar* as indemnity to China because of the murder of three hundred Chinese during the late rebellion.
