The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,180,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,145,000 quarters, Atlantic shipments 183,000 quarters, Pacific 45,000 quarters. The total shipments for Europe this week are 105,000 quarters, including Argentine 88,000 quarters, Russian 185,000 quarters, Danubian 104,000 quarters, Indian 114,000 quarters, and Australasian 320,000 quarters.

New Zealand butter is giving satisfaction to buyers and the prospects are favorable. Continental requirements are larger than expected. The average price for the week for choicest New Zealand butter was 1325, Australian 1295, Danish 1355, Siberian 1295, Argentine 128s. Cheese.—The market is quieter. On account of the high prices holders are firm. New Zealand is giving satisfaction to buyers. Quotations: White 725, colored 71s 6d.

Hemp.—The market is steady, but without animation. New Zealand good fair grade on spot £2l ss, fair grade £2O ss, fair current Manila £2l 10s, forward shipment New Zealand good fair £■2l 10s, New Zealand fair grade £2O 10s, fair current Manila £2l 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales.

Cocksfoot Seed, —The market is quiet, but holders are firm and buyers not keen to do business. Bright clean New Zealand cocksfoot seed, weighing 171bs. per bushel, 75s per cwt nominal. Kauri Gum.—The market is quiet but steady; 174 cases were offered, and 80 sold. The stock on hand is 376 tons. Dark brown selected rescraped £6 to £7 10s, three-quarter scraped 85s to 955, chips drossy 30s to 355, rescraped pale amber £lO to £l2, three-quarter pale scraped £7 to £B, diggers' chips good 455. Hops.—The market remains firm. English 13d, Californian 12d. Wool; The market is quiet and prices slightly weaker.
