FOUR MURDERERS PAY THE Penalty.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, February 18. At Chicago four murderers found guilty of the murder of a foreigner named Guelgowg were hanged together in the State gaol. On the previous night they gave way to hysterical outbursts, and fought the warders fiercely, but were overpowered by main force. The wife of one of the condemned men fainted.
The whole Polish community endeavored to secure a pardon for two of the condemned mem, but failed. The men were carried in a aemieonscious condition to the scaffold.
