SYDNEY COAL LUMPERS REFUSE TO WORK. •y o»bJe—Pnm Association—Copyright. Sydney, February 17. Coal lumpers refused to work on the steamer Cornwall from Brisbane. While at Brisbane the captain ordered the firemen and seamen to unload bunker coal. They declined, and the captain logged them. The Sydney lumpers are striking in sympathy with Brisbane. In consequence of the wharf laborers Ignoring the agreement recently made with the shipowners, the latter have notified the Waterside Workers' Federation that the agreement is terminated.
TROUBLE PROLONGED.
MR. COYNE INTERVIEWED.
Received 19. 1*2.30 a.m. Brisbane, February 17. --There was a large gathering in the Traaes Hall on Saturday. Mr. Coyne, in an interview, said the Employers' Federation having rudely •porned the proposals the conference liad nothing for it but the prolongation of the trouble. If the strike(B wanted the strike called off they would have to get someone else to do it, and appoint a new strike committee. They had the necessary funds behind them, and now that the Sydney and Newcastle lumpers and miners were with them, while the men were prepared to stand firm they would fight on to the bitter end.
In reply to a question as to when the climax was likely to come, Mr. Coyne replied: "When the Employers' Federation approaches the committee with a view to settlement."
MUSICIANS RESUME.

The master builders propose to re■one to-morrow.

NON-UNIONLSTS DISCHARGE CARGO.
Received 19, 12.30 ajn. Brisbane, February 18. The North German steamer Prinz Waldemar arrived. Her cargo was discharged by non-unionists, assisted by the crew, ander police protection. There was no attempt at interference.
SYMPATHETIC SYDNEYITES.

, Sydney, February 18. The Wharf Laborers' and Coal Lumpers' Union apparently do not consider themselves bound by the recent decision of the Transport "Workers' Federation, m telegraphed by the Brisbane Strike Committee. They will not work cargo handled by non-unionists in Queensland.
