A DERELICT VESSEL

HER IDENTITY SETTLED.

By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, February 16.

The nameboard of the schooner Paris has been washed up on the beach near Newcastle, settling the doubts as to the

identity of the derelict, which is supposed to have been capsized on Friday night during the heavy gale. She left Forster on February 3 for Sydney, and was not afterwards signalled. The derelict at present constitutes a menace to navigation, and arrangements are being made to destroy it.
