Short).—Westport Qarrison, 49 points, 1; Wanganui City, 48,2; Waihi Federal, 46, 3. " ilij. Quartettes. "Forester, Sound Thy Cheerful Horn."—Wanganui City No. 1, 48 points, 1; Gisborne City No. 1. 47, 2; Gisborne City No. 2, 4(S; Waihi No. 1, 46; Palmerston North No. 2, 45; Palmerston North No. 1, 44; Westport, 44; Waihi No. 2, 43; Wanganui No. 2, 43.

Gisbo.rne; Last-Night. At the band contest this afternoon, the quickstep competition came off. For the A grade the piece was "For King and Kingdom," and for B grade "Our Sailor King." Results:— ! A Grade.—Palmerston North Municipal 251 points, l; Waihi Federal, 240%, 2; Westport Garrison, 226%, 3. i, B Grade.—Wanganui City, 236 points, 1; Gisborne City, 229 2-3, 2;- Whangarei Municipal, 225 1-3, 3. The maximum points were 280.
