NO. 5 STILL GOING STRONG,
There is no change to report in regard; I to No. 5 bore, which struck a rich flow* * of oil on Sunday morning. The average of 36 barrels a day was again maintained yesterday, the output being measured from time to time. ._ Over 50 people visited the bore y ester-, day and evinced the greatest interest in> the operations. , J.vj Nos. 2 and 3 bores are still flowing aS . , usual. A prominent resident of the town, who has been in close touch with the oil prospecting work since its inception ia : Taranaki, and who has just returned ■• •) from a trip through the North .and'..,*) South Islands, informs us that very keen interest is being taken throughout the 1 ] Dominion in our oil prospecting opera-' tions, and states they seem to have thfc greater faith in the future before th# industry. , .
