WAITAEA v. INGLEWOOD. By Telegraph—Own correspondent. The Waitara Lawn Tennis Club played a match against the Inglewood Club at Waitara on Saturday. The weather was fine and the courts in good order. Inglewood won by 145 games to 127. Following are the results (Inglewood being mentioned first in each case): — LADIES* SINGLES.—Mrs. Thompson 7, v. Miss IPurdie 0; Mrs. Matthews 7, v. Miss Dewar 1; Mrs. Law 5, v. Miss Bernsten 7; Mrs. Hynes 6, v. Miss Stoddart 7; Miss Hamerton 7, v. Miss Reeve 0; Miss Hislop 7, v. Miss K. Gilbert 4. Totals: Inglewood 37, Waitara 19.
LADIES' DOUBLES. Mesdames Thompson and Matthews 7, v. Misses Purdie and Dewar 2; Mesdames Law and Hynes 7, v. Miss Stoddart and Bernsten 6; Misses Hislop and Hamerton 7, v.
