The British steamer Hibernia, which while voyaging from Nova Scotia to Barbadoes with a crew of seven was disabled in mid-Atlantic on December 72, has arrived at Liverpool after being partly submerged for 29 days. The water and provisions were washed overboard, and the crew ate tinned salmon and chewed tea to quench their thirst. They had been without food for fourteen days when they were rescued by a liner.
