SIR JOHN/KIRK INTERVIEWED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyrigkt. London, February 9. The Westminster Gazette interviewed Sir John Kirk, secretary of the Ragged Schools Union, who has just returned from a visit to Australasia. Sir John said that the public conscience of Australia and New Zealand was keen on questions which concerned the welfare of children. The reason was twofold, as people value their children for their own sakes, and additional population was required.
