CALVES KEPT WITHOUT FOOD. By Telegraph—Press Asswsiation. Christchurch, Last Night. As the steamer did not go that afternoon the railway a,uthorities*side-tracked the waggon containing the' calves, which remained without food or drink (except for a bucket of water provided on Sunday night by the Harbor Board watchman) until Monday morning.
