THE TERM "SCAB."
APPLIED TO NON-UNIONISTS. By Cable—Press Association-—Copyright. New York, February 4. A Judge at Portland, Oregon, held that the use of the term "scab," as applied to non-unionists, was not a punishable offence, unless accompanied by abusive words. Six men were adjudged guilty of breach of the peace for using abusive language, including the word "scab/" to' non-unionist workers in the railway shops.
