I LONDON WOOL SALES. By Cable—Press Association— Received 5, 12.20 a.m. London, February 4.' The wool sales have closed. Ninety thousand bales were sold for the Home markets and 66,000 bales for the Continent. Twelve thousand bales went to the United States, while 13,500 are held over. Compared with the closing rates in the December sales, the prices for combing merinos fully maintained their' position. Wusty and faulties were generally 5 per cent, lower and crossbreds declined during last week at close on par with December rates. Best merino lambs advanced 5 per cent. The others are unchanged.
