NEW PLYMOUTH v. WAITARA. The match between the above teams was played in the Recreation Grounds yesterday, and resulted in an easy win for the town team by 104 runs on the first innings. The local team made 145, and those who reached double figures were Weston (28), Nicoll (36), Williams (12), and Ingram (40). For the visitors the only player to get into two figures was Eggleston (12). Nicoll and Lash secured the wickets for New Plymouth, while Hawkins did the best trundling for the visitors.
