A BYE-ELECTION. Received 25, 10.30 p.m. London, January 25. The by-election for the Carmarthan district, necessitated by the appointment of the sitting member, Mr. N. L. Williams, to be recorder at Swansea, resulted in Mr. Williams, a Liberal, securing 3836, Bond (Unionist) 2555. and Vivian (Labor) 159 votes.
