Share Quotations.—Waihi, 50s and 52s Gd; Junction. 20s and 30s; Talisman, 49s 8d and 51s 3d. AUSTRALIAN WOOL EXPORTS. Sydney, January 23. An official correction of the value of the Commonwealth wool exports for last year puts the figures at £26,088,538, a decrease of £2,688,745, compared with the previous year. The figures sent yesterday dealt with greasy wool only. THE PRODUCE MARKET. Mr. Newton King's weekly butter and cheese ; export from Messrs. R. and W. Davidson, Ltd., of London and Glasgow, under date Glasgow, December 14, 1811, is as follows! CONTINENTAL BUTTERS.
• The market this week has shown a considerable improvement, and prices are Is to 2s per cwt. higher; stocks are also well cleared.' Telegraphic advices from Copenhagen indicate the market there is firm, and the quotation to-day has been declared unchanged. Danish and Swedish.—Total arrivals of Danish this week show a decrease of 935 casks. The market has been fairly active, stocks are entirely cleared, and buyers have had to pay Is to 2s per cwt. more for their requirements. We quote strictly choicest quality 139s to 140s. I Siberian.—The arrivals this; week do not total 2000 casks. There has been a_ brisk and active demand for all qualities. Choicest goods fetched-, ,124s -to 1265, choice 118s to 122, with-secondary verv Bearer and wanted at 114s to 116s. French.—The market continues firm, and arrivals verv small. COLONIAL BUTTERS. Australian.—The arrivals this week comprise 46,773 boxes per s.s. Orsova. the Cevic with 221S boxes, while the Palma is also due with 6761 boxes. The market opened at the beginning of this week firm, but since then trade has been rather quieter, several large buyers holding off desiring to bear the market, in which they have been partially successful. We quote choicest saltfid to-day 126s to 128s, with secondary butters selling well at 1245. Saltless meets with a slow sale, more especially butter without preervative, which is very much pressed at 125s to 128s, choicest unsalted with preservative is offered at 128s to 130s. New Zealand.—There is very few on the market at present, and quotations are accordingly only nominal. Choicest quality to-day would be worth 1325. The s.s. lonic is due to dock at the end of this week with fully 38,000 boxes on board. We understand some agents are nlready quoting their best brands ex this boat at 1325. IMPORTS TO UNITED TvTNGDOM. The total figures up to 9th December of this year and for the corresponding period of 1908, 1909, and 1910. are as follows:—1908. 3,940,591cwt; 1909 381fi.382cwt: 1910, 4,021,053cwt; 1911 4,074,203cwt. CHEESE. Canadian.—There is a fairly steady demand at firm prices; choicest white and colored. 09s to 71s. New Zealand.—Goods landed e\- the s.s. lonic arc well cleared at from 08s to 69s for choice oualitv. TAIPORTS.
