WELLINGTON MEETING. SECOND DAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Glorious sunshine ushered in the second day of the W.R.C. summer meeting. There was an appreciable difference in the attendance compared with the first day. Despite the fact that there were some runaway victories, the sport provided was of a high order. The tote records for the Wellington meeting were smashed to pieces, the previous "best' - being exceeded in several instances. The Wellington Stakes was looked forward to as providing a match between two cracks, Prince Soult and Autumnus, neither of whom had previously met. The northerner could do no better than finish in fifth place, whilst Sir GeoTge Clifford's colt filled second place. The total figures for day were £35,091 against £14,217 for the corresponding day of last summer meeting. ing are the results:— Mungaroa Welter Handicap, of 100 sovs; seven furlongs.—Highden's Blakeney, 9.12 (A.
