STEADY GROWTH. By Cable—Pr««s Assa«ati«*--€lopyrigli Melbourne, January 22. The Commonwealth imports last year were valued at £66,860,303, an increase of £6,186,848 on the previous year. The exports were £79,484,226, including £12,060,831 specie and. bullion. The total increase was . £4,993,076. The butter exports were valued at £4,637,472, an increase of nearly £700,000. Thte value, of wheat exported was £9,623,142, a decrease of £310,000. • The wool was valued at £21,412,143, a decrease of £7,365,000. 1 The net revenue from Customs and excise was £13,561,1.19, an increase of £1,250,000.
