It is semi-officially announced that the Turks aboard the Manouba vainly attempted to charter a yacht at Marseilles for the purpose of landing on a desert spot at Tunis or Tripoli. They were found in possession of two small cases of surgical instruments and a small quantity of medicaments. Doctors are now examining thi;m with a yiew to establishing their status. Italy has notified the Powers that an effective blockade has been established at Hodeidah, on the shores of the Red Sea.
