At a meeting of the Council of the New South Wales Alliance the delegates who participated in the New Zealand Prohibition campaign detailed their impression. One stated that the most powerful factor in the cause of Prohibition was the enthusiastic support of the Labor Party. The Rev. Mr. Hammond declared that, having been in every No-license area in the Dominion, he was more than ever convinced of the value and effectiveness of No-license. He reasserted that he never said anything which warranted Archbishop Redwood using his name in connection with the use of wine for sacramental purposes.
