COMMISSION AT PALMERSTON.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Tuesday. The Totalisator Commission concluded its sittings to-day in Palmerston North, the evidence being on the lines previously given in other parts. The commission proceeds to Wellington to-morrow. Four witnesses were examined' to-day, including a member of the Sports Protection Association. One of the commissioners expressed regret that the people who were supposed to safeguard the morals of the community did not come forward to give evidence. Palmerston North, Last Nighc. The New South Wales Totalisator Commission concluded the taking of evidence at Palmerston to-day, and leavesfor Wellington to-morrow.
