OVERDOSE OF CHLORODYNE. By Telegraph—Pr«s Association. Wellington, Last Night. John Howell, married, 39 years of age, residing at Kelburne, was admitted to the hospital suffering from an accidental overdose of chlorodyne. He is progressing favorably. WOMAN'S TRAGIC END. j Wellington, Last Night. Shortly before noon to-day an elderly woman called at the residence of Mrs. Hymes and was shown into her drawingroom. She asked for a glass of water, but before she, could take it she fell on I the floor and expired. Mrs. Hymes I knew the woman about seven years ago) in Christchurch. Deceased was then liv-l ing in Lichfield street, and practised clairvoyancy, but does not know her name. Deceased' was about 60 years of age. The body awaits identification at the morgue. j A CHILD BURNED. Dunedin, Last Night. A five-year-old girl, named Marjery Campbell, was the victim of a fatal accident at Mosgiel to-day. While she was flighting matches her clothing caught Ifjre, and she "was so severely burned that death ensued shortly afterwards.
