INJURED BY FALL OF STONE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Reefton, Saturday. James Wicken was injured last night by a fall of stone at the Progress mine. He was brought in to the hospital in a serious condition. TAXI-CAB ACCIDENT. Wellington, Last Night. As the result of a taxi-cab accident early this morning, a young man named Garnet Caldwell, employed in the commercial department of the New Zealand Times, was injured about the head rather seriously, and taken to the hospital. The exact nature of the injuries is not yet ascertained.
