ENGLISH AGRICULTURAL TENANTS.

The Daily Chronicle states that the committee appointed to deal with the question of the breaking up of large estates reports against the tenant purchase, finding no demand for ownership or State assisted purchase among the agricultural tenants of England and Wales. The committee recommends that when lar<?e estates become vacant the State should purchase them and lease to the tenant occupiers.
